Growing up on a cattle farm in Rappahannock County, I never realized how special life in the Shenandoah Valley truly was. The Blue Ridge Mountains, Skyline Drive, apple orchards, and small-town life were simply part of everyday life. Looking back through the eyes of a photographer, business owner, and lifelong local, here are twenty things I took for granted—and why I appreciate them more than ever today.
